Via Carota

Whether you come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner: your food, the service, and the atmosphere will not disappoint. There are no reservations and if you go for dinner on a weekend, expect to wait…a while. The seafood is fresh, the pasta is fantastic, and their vegetables are full of flavor. I personally recommend the cacio e pepe, you will NOT be disappointed, and in between bites of rich buttery pasta, you will forget the hours that you waited for a table. Location: West Village

Mezzaluna

Service is always great at this adorable little Italian spot. Family friendly, but it is always busy so you might have to wait for a table. My friend and I come here almost every single time I am in the city. Amazing wood fired pizzas, pasta, and the Pollanca salad is a must! Location: UES

Casa Enrique

This place has the best of both worlds: upscale Mexican food but a casual environment. This is the fifth year in a row that Casa Enrique has earned a Michelin star. Their inexpensive prices compared to the quality of their food will blow your mind. Their daily specials are always filled with the freshest of seasonal ingredients and will make you wonder why you never made the trip across the bridge sooner. Location: Long Island City

Phillipe

An upscale, trendy, Chinese restaurant. Service is always great and your food comes out fairly quickly. I think I sometimes dream about the crispy seaweed…it is fabulous. The bok choy and salt and pepper prawns are also delicious. If you don’t feel like leaving your house, but you’re in the mood for amazing Chinese, you’re in luck because Phillipe is on Postmates and Seamless! Locations: Chelsea, UES

ABCV

A spot by Jean Gorges so you already know it’s going to be good. Stepping into this beautiful, light, and airy restaurant, you might mistake it for Gwyneth Paltrow’s kitchen or her Hampton’s home dining room. It is a mostly plant based, non-GMO, sustainable, and organic restaurant, but that doesn’t stop any of the plates from being full of favor and satisfying. I personally recommend ordering tapas style so you can try as many things as possible. Location: Flatiron

The Pearl

One of the best dinner menus on Nantucket. From shishito peppers to lobster Rangoon to Sichuan pork ginger dumplings you cannot go wrong with anything that you order. I truly recommend just about everything on the menu. The restaurant interior is fairly modern compared to most restaurants in town, but I think it is nice and different!

The Straight Wharf

My favorite dinner spot on island. Amazing seafood, meat, dessert, and cocktails. The main dining room is my favorite but the bar menu is equally delicious. Also you are right on the wharf so the views are stunning. Their menus change depending on the fresh local ingredients they have but I recommend the scallops and the gallate for dessert.

Galley Beach

You come here for the sunset, you stay for the fries. In all seriousness, the food here is incredible, but it is pricey. If it seems like too much I recommend coming for sunset and ordering a cocktail (the spicy margarita is great) and maybe a bite or two off of the lounge menu. The menu frequently changes so you know whatever you order will be fresh and it will be tasty.

Millies

This fresh, California style Mexican restaurant is worth the trek out to Madaket. One of my favorite things to do is to get takeout and then eat on the beach and watch the sunset. You simply cannot go wrong with any of the tacos or quesadillas. My favorites are the Smith Point tacos, the Wauwinet salad, and the 40thPole quesadilla. Definitely get the guacamole and if you eat at the restaurant definitely get a margarita.

Lankan Filling Station

There are hundreds of great Thai restaurants all over Sydney, but this spot has to be one of my favorites. The menu is flexible and allows you to order a dish to your liking. The curries are fantastic and they are just spicy enough, but not too intense…unless you prefer it that way. It is also possible to order a full meal and appetizer here without emptying out your wallet which is always a plus.

Fred's

This small, intimate, cozy restaurant on Oxford Street will have your mouth watering as you watch your food being prepared in their open kitchen set up. The menu is always changing based on what is fresh and what foods are in season. Try your best to save room for dessert. There is dessert is so good there is a separate kitchen for it.

This place is expensive but it is worth every penny. From the ambiance, to the drinks, to the food, this place is one of a kind. If I could have tried everything on the menu I would have. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I recommend ordering a cocktail and then the Stir Fry Prawns with a roti basket on the side.

The décor and ambiance of this restaurant make it a perfect place to come for a drink or to have a meal with friends, especially on their outdoor patio. Their menu has something for everyone, even the vegans! The service is great and the wine menu will keep you there for hours.
